3D Travel, Inc., a sister company of Team Vision, was recognized as the year's most innovative business by Hawaii Business Magazine in its 2011 Small Biz Success Awards. CEO Craig Carapelho picked up the award on behalf of his team at the awards banquet at the Hawaii Prince Hotel in Waikiki.

The award was judged by a panel of leading academics and business leaders in Hawaii. In its profile of the winners in the February 2011 edition, the magazine stated, "We are inspired by your passion, innovation, generosity to the community and commitment to customer service, and we are honored to tell your stories."

In the profile, Carapelho noted, "I'm always trying something new."

"New" in this case was something truly unique. In July 2010, 3D Travel, Inc. launched 3DHawaii.com, the first interactive travel portal in which users navigate the islands in 3D using Google Earth. 3DLasVegas followed in December. Carapelho plans to launch 10 such sites over the next several months.

Other honorees included Hawaii Self Storage (Community Service Award), Mediation Center of the Pacific (Nonprofit Award), Robert's of Kauai & Robert's Jewelry (Family Business Award), Opportunities and Resources, Inc. (Lifetime Achievement Award) and RevoluSun (Best New Business).
